from linocut to tabletop
this project was a commision, to turn a linocut into a tabletop. the idea was to carve a linocut and pay extra attention to the carving marks themselves as we were going to pour a layer of resin on top to create a flat glass-like surface on top of the linoleum.
the design of the linocut is based upon drawings from my sketchbooks, arranged and placed in a grid, with a gradient from black to white, left to right.
